Prince of Wales Coat, 
c. 1860-1890

The original coat has a full lining of black sateen. The coat features 2 sets of 3 buttons in front and 2 at the side back waist. Two smaller covered buttons are sewn beneath the silk tape to each sleeve. Sleeves are lined. See Shirts page for matching vest and trousers.

Like the coat, the vest features 2 sets of 3 buttons in front. This vest is a partial double-breasted closure with slight "V" button formation and shawl collar. Sizes 36-44+

These trousers are a more fitted version of the 19th Century trousers, with a slight flair to accommodate the boots of the civilian gentleman.

Originals were made of cotton knit stockinette, along with 100% cotton flannel. Available in the 1860's, but attained popularity in the 1870's.
